Aldershot's Social Running Club
Blackwater Valley Runners are a social running club in Aldershot, attracting members from Farnborough, Ash, Tongham, Fleet, Farnham, Frimley and of course, Aldershot. We have approximately 200 members, made up of roughly equal numbers of male and females of all running standards.
Our main club night is Wednesday and we meet at 6.55pm at Aldershot Cricket Club, next to Aldershot Lido. After a few short club announcements we split into different ability groups, all with experienced group leaders, to run for as little as 3-4 miles or, for the more serious runners, up to 10 miles at a range of paces. Our club members like to run socially and competitively. After coming down the club for a run, some of us like to stay for a drink at the clubhouse bar. We enter running events both on and off the road. The club is a member of several organisations including MABAC and Hampshire Road Races Leagues. Blackwater Valley Runners take part in a range of road events include 10K, half-marathon, and full marathon distances. In the summer off-road runs from the club are popular.
We pride ourselves on being the most social running club in Aldershot!
